We provide the skills and certification you need to lead your own group ride, whether it's on cycle paths, on or off road. Our comprehensive training programs cater to cyclists of all levels. We offer certified Mountain Bike Instructors Award Scheme (MIAS) courses
This 2 day course teaches you how to lead a mountain bike group ride on non-technical (e.g fire road or blue forest trail) and technical terrain (e.g red forest trail). It includes group leading, map reading and basic maintenance. The courses covers both levels.
You will need to show a current first aid certificate in order to receive your MIAS certificate. A £50 non-refundable deposit is payable on booking.

This is a 2 day group course, progressing from one level to the next during the course. Covering the best way to tackle multiple terrains through bike set-up, position, gears, braking, climbing/ descending, cornering, drops, track stands and lifting a wheel.
This is aimed at a group of teens or adults. The participants will need transport to and from the location (either Delamere Forest or OnePlanet Adventure Llandegla) to join this course. If the group are under 16, a parent or carer will need to remain on location (the responsible adult does not need to join in the course).
This is a 1 day course depending, delivered one level at a time. The MIAS GEARS programme is aimed groups with learning difficulties and teaches bike skills including braking, changing gears, cornering, alternating speed, bike anatomy, learning about your environment (collecting litter etc) and an overall picture of basic maintenance.
This is aimed at a group of 4 - 6 students depending on age and skill levels. The participants will need transport to and from the location (either Delamere Forest or OnePlanet Adventure Llandegla) to join this course. If they are under 16, a parent or carer will need to remain on location (the responsible adult does not need to join in the course).
This is a 1 day course which will teach you to lead a group ride on the road, including using back markers and assistants. It involves road safety, rider safety and group skills. Level 1 covers basic roads, level 2 moves to intermediate roads and level 3 progresses to A roads.
