Mechanic Training
Hollie Burnett is a Level 3 IMI qualified mechanic, qualified ebike technician and Level 5 MIAS Cycle FIT mechanic trainer. She is also the only female mechanic trainer for MIAS in the UK. She is passionate about empowering people to look after their bike and feel confident to be able to fix any mechanical issues on a ride to get yourself home.
We offer a variety of training options for any skill level including certified training if you want to become a workshop mechanic.
Basic bike maintenance
This 2 hour course helps you to understand the bare minimum skills you need to look after your bike. Learn how to clean your bike, what products to use and where, check your bike before a ride, pump up and change your tyres.
These skills will keep your bike running longer and will save you money!
The cost of the 2 hour course is £20 per person and groups are limited to 8.
Home Mechanic
This 1 day course teaches you more advanced maintenance skills, ideal for the home mechanic to learn how to maintain their own bike. We offer detailed instruction in essential tasks such as bicycle maintenance, gear indexing, brake adjustment, and component replacement.
Gain hands on experience and the confidence to independently maintain and enhance your bike with the guidance of our expert instructors.
The cost of the 1 day course is £150 per person and groups are limited to 4.
Levels 1, 2 & 3 Advanced Mechanic (Cycle FIT) Course
This 2 day course will provide you with the industry leading qualification you need to work in a bike workshop. We teach you how to strip down your bike to service/ repair each part. This is more detailed than the home mechanic course as it also looks into bottom brackets, bearings and headsets.
We offer other specific bolt-on sessions for this like brake bleeding and wheel building.
The cost of this 2 day course is £280 per person and groups are limited to 4.
